Saturday marks 16 years since Aleksandar Kolarov signed for Manchester City, having joined the club in the summer of 2010 as part of a wave of international recruits.
The Serbian left-back was part of squads that won the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup under multiple managers, a period that laid the groundwork for the sustained dominance that followed under Pep Guardiola.
Kolarov was noted for his physicality, composure and ability on the ball, as well as his effectiveness as a defender. Those qualities earned him cult-hero status among City supporters that has persisted beyond his playing days at the club.
The former left-back is currently working as a coach at Inter Milan, a club City are scheduled to face later this summer.
