Chelsea have tied Academy attacker Sol Gordon to a new contract that runs until at least 2029. The winger has been at the club since joining the development centre at Under-8 level.
Gordon progressed steadily through the Academy ranks and established himself as a regular for the Under-18s, also making appearances for the Under-21s.
As a schoolboy in 2023/24, he scored 19 goals and added seven assists across the Under-16 and Under-17 age groups. He was part of the squad that won the National Trophy at Under-16 level and contributed to the Under-17 Premier League Cup triumph.
After turning 17 in November 2024, Gordon signed his first professional contract. He went on to finish the following season as the Under-18s' leading scorer with 15 goals in all competitions.
He carried that form into 2025/26, opening the campaign with a hat-trick against Sheffield United in the Under-18 Premier League Cup. He also featured for the Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League, scoring in a 5-0 win over Qarabag.
Gordon ended the season by netting Chelsea's fourth goal in a 5-1 victory over Manchester City in the Under-18 Premier League National Final. He finished the campaign as the third-highest appearance-maker in the Under-18s squad.
