Virgil van Dijk marked his 100th international appearance for the Netherlands with a captain's armband and a victory, as the Dutch beat Serbia 2-1 in a UEFA Nations League fixture in Eindhoven on Sunday.

Ryan Gravenberch also started for the Netherlands and played 60 minutes, while fellow Liverpool player Jeremie Frimpong remained unused on the bench.

In Thessaloniki, Florian Wirtz captained Germany in a goalless draw against Kostas Tsimikas' Greece. Both Liverpool players completed the full 90 minutes.

Lewis Koumas started for Wales but could not prevent a 1-0 home defeat to Denmark, with the winger substituted after 56 minutes. Five Liverpool players were involved across Sunday's international fixtures in total.
