Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the Premier League's EA Sports Player of the Month award for September, after a standout run of form for Manchester City.

The Ghana international started every minute of City's five Premier League victories in the opening weeks of the 2026/27 season, scoring twice and registering two assists in September alone.

Semenyo's first goal contribution of the month was a decisive cross in the 1-0 win over Coventry, setting up Erling Haaland's header. He then played a key role in the victory at Old Trafford before scoring twice in an 8-goal thriller against Sunderland last week, also laying off for Rayan Cherki's goal.

He is currently joint-leading assist provider in the Premier League this season with three. Since joining City in January, he has scored 13 goals and provided six assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

A win would be Semenyo's second Player of the Month award as a City player, having claimed the prize in February.

He faces competition from Hull's Mohamed Bellouni, Leeds' Jayden Bogle, Brighton's Pascal Gross and Charalampos Kostoulas, Liverpool's Alexander Isak and Jeremy Jacquet, and Brentford's Kevin Schade.

Voting closes at 12:00 (UK) on Monday 28 September, with the winner announced at 11:00 (UK) on Friday 2 October.
