Schlotterbeck attracting Liverpool and Real Madrid interest

Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck has emerged as a transfer target for several of Europe's biggest clubs, with Liverpool and Real Madrid among those monitoring the 26-year-old German international.

According to Fussball News, interest in Schlotterbeck extends beyond those two clubs, with Manchester United and Barcelona also keeping tabs on the defender ahead of a potential move.

Real Madrid are understood to be seeking defensive reinforcements, and Schlotterbeck is considered an attractive option. The Dortmund centre-back has established himself as one of the Bundesliga's most reliable defenders, combining defensive solidity with composure in possession.

Schlotterbeck would command a fee in excess of €70 million, according to reports, placing him among the more expensive defensive targets in the current market. No formal bids have been reported from any of the interested clubs.
