Bukayo Saka scored twice as England recorded a 7-0 victory over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday, moving the Three Lions into second place in League A Group 3.

England were dominant from the outset in Rijeka, with Harry Kane, Anthony Gordon, Jude Bellingham and Saka all finding the net in a four-goal first half. Kane added his second after the break before Saka struck again, capitalising on a defensive error. Morgan Rogers completed the scoring.

Ezri Konsa started and played the full 90 minutes, while Ebere Eze was introduced on 70 minutes and Myles Lewis-Skelly came on for the final 11 minutes. England sit three points behind group leaders Spain.

Spain defeated Czech Republic 3-1 in Oviedo to extend their winning run to 10 matches. David Raya started in goal as Lamine Yamal and Rodri put Spain 2-0 ahead, before Jiri Slama pulled one back for the Czechs.

Mikel Merino came off the bench and scored late to seal the win — replicating his habit of crucial late goals, having done so on two occasions during the World Cup. Martin Zubimendi also featured as a second-half substitute.

In a historic fixture outside Europe, Brazil beat India 4-0 in Kolkata in the first meeting between the two nations. Bruno Guimaraes and Gabriel Magalhaes began on the bench before entering in the second half, with Samuel Lino netting twice to complete the win.

England's next fixture is at home to Czech Republic at Wembley on Tuesday, October 6. Spain travel to Croatia the same evening in the final match of the international break.
