David Raya has received two nominations for the Premier League Save of the Month award for September, recognised for stops against Chelsea and Sunderland in Arsenal's opening weeks of the 2026/27 season.

The first nomination comes from Arsenal's 2-1 win over Chelsea, where Raya denied Estevao with a crucial tip over the bar. The Brazilian winger cut inside and curled his effort towards the top corner, only for the Spanish goalkeeper to get a hand to it and preserve Arsenal's lead.

The second nomination follows Arsenal's 2-0 victory at the Stadium of Light, where Raya saved a penalty from Sunderland's Enzo Le Fee. Le Fee struck the ball low and hard towards the bottom corner, but Raya tipped it onto the post and away.

Two minutes after that penalty save, Bruno Guimaraes fired into the top corner to open Arsenal's scoring — a goal that has also been separately nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Month award.

Raya faces competition from four other nominees: Dean Henderson for denying Fulham's Timothy Castagne in Crystal Palace's 3-2 win at Craven Cottage, Gianluigi Donnarumma for a last-minute stop against Bryan Mbuemo in the Manchester derby, Alisson for a reflex save against Bournemouth, and Bernd Leno for a parry to deny Mbuemo for Fulham.

Voting for the award closes at 12pm on Monday, September 28.
