Three Everton players featured as England beat Czechia 3-0 in the UEFA Nations League at Wembley on Tuesday, with Jordan Pickford, Jarrad Branthwaite and James Garner all playing a part in the comfortable win.
Pickford started in goal and played the full 90 minutes, recording his 49th clean sheet for England. He was also handed the captain's armband after Harry Kane was substituted late in the second half.
Branthwaite and Garner were both introduced in the 73rd minute and produced composed displays to see out the result.
Kane opened the scoring in the first half when his low cross was turned into his own net by Czechia's Vladimir Coufal. The striker — making a record-equalling 125th senior appearance for England — then doubled the lead before half-time and added his second of the night early in the second half.
Elsewhere, Tyler Dibling scored for England Under-21s but they fell to a 3-1 defeat against the Republic of Ireland in Cork. Harrison Armstrong and Tyrique George played the final 30 minutes after starting on the bench.
Braiden Graham played 84 minutes for Northern Ireland Under-21s in their 1-0 Euro qualifying defeat against Greece, with Fraser Barnsley and Jack Patterson unused substitutes.
All Everton players are expected to return from international duty to Finch Farm later this week ahead of the resumption of domestic league action.
