Arsenal attacker Ethan Nwaneri has joined Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan, the Premier League side confirmed on Monday.

The 19-year-old leaves Arsenal having made 37 appearances across all competitions last season, including 26 in the Premier League and seven in the UEFA Champions League.

Nwaneri holds the record as the youngest player in Premier League history, having made his top-flight debut as a substitute against Brentford in September 2022 at the age of 15 years and 181 days. The appearance also made him Arsenal's youngest-ever player in any competition.

He scored his first goals for the club in September 2024, netting twice in a 5-1 Carabao Cup win over Bolton Wanderers, before adding his first Premier League goal in a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Emirates Stadium two months later.

Nwaneri spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan with Marseille in Ligue 1, making 11 appearances for the French club.

An England youth international, Nwaneri has represented the Young Lions at every age group from Under-16 to Under-21, accumulating 58 caps and scoring 27 goals at youth level.

The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
