The 19-year-old Arsenal loanee played 62 minutes in a 1-0 away win at Stuttgart. Maximilian Beier scored the second-half winner to seal BVB's fourth consecutive league victory.

It was a difficult weekend for several other Arsenal loanees. Goalkeeper Tommy Setford played the full 90 minutes for Stevenage but conceded a 79th-minute goal in a 1-0 League One defeat at Leyton Orient, leaving his side 11th in the table. Stevenage face Walsall in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.

England's U20 World Cup campaign in Poland ended on Thursday with a 3-0 defeat to Nigeria in Bielsko-Biala. Arsenal loanees Jessie Gale — who came on as a late substitute — and Cecily Wellesley-Smith, who remained on the bench, were both part of the squad. The pair will now return to their loan clubs at Newcastle United and Rosengard respectively.

Sophie Harwood, on loan at Sheffield United in WSL 2, faced a tough afternoon on Sunday as her side were beaten 4-1 by Newcastle in Gateshead. Sheffield United face Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village on Wednesday in their League Cup league phase opener.
