Omar Marmoush scored twice in the second half to give Manchester City a 3-1 victory over Atletico Madrid at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, ending the club's 2026 Asia Tour on a winning note.

Atletico defender Jorge Dominguez had put the Spanish side ahead shortly before half-time, capitalising on a scrappy corner-kick exchange against the run of play. City then took control after the break in front of an attendance of 50,078.

Antoine Semenyo turned his marker and reached the byline before squaring for Marmoush to slide home City's equaliser shortly before the hour. The pair combined again moments later — this time Josko Gvardiol played Semenyo in behind before the winger squared for the Egyptian to finish.

Rayan Ait-Nouri, who had scored his first City goal just three days earlier, added a third just before stoppage time, driving the ball low and hard into the far corner after bursting into the box.

Semenyo was named star performer on the night. The Ghana international had been a consistent attacking threat throughout the tour, also standing out in the win over Inter the previous week.

Enzo Maresca's side dominated possession throughout and made limited substitutions, in keeping with competitive-match protocols. Atletico rang the changes extensively from the 63rd minute.

Attention now turns to the Community Shield against Arsenal at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff next Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 (UK). As FA Cup winners, City face Premier League champions Arsenal to open the 2026/27 season.
