Hazard and Caicedo reach Goal of Season quarter-finals
Eden Hazard and Moises Caicedo advance to Chelsea's Ultimate Goal of the Season quarter-finals after winning the fan vote in Group D.
· Kickhell
Eden Hazard and Moises Caicedo have been voted through to the quarter-finals of Chelsea's Ultimate Goal of the Season competition, after fans selected their strikes as the best in Group D.
Hazard's entry was his celebrated solo goal at Anfield, in which the Belgian dribbled past several Liverpool defenders before finishing in front of the travelling Chelsea support. Caicedo's winning goal saw him strike from the halfway line, the ball dropping into the net after Bournemouth's goalkeeper was caught out of position — it was also the Ecuadorian's first goal for the club.
The two beat out Group D competition from Ashley Cole (2010), Lewis Baker (2014) and Mateo Kovacic (2022) to advance to the last eight.
The full quarter-final draw will be revealed on Thursday. Caicedo (2024) and Hazard — who has three entries from 2016, 2017 and 2019 — are joined in the knockout stage by Ramires (2012), Michael Essien (2007 and 2009) and Joao Pedro (2026).
