Bruno Guimaraes has claimed Arsenal's Emirates Goal of the Month award for September, earning the fan vote for his strike against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

The goal came after Gabriel picked out Declan Rice with an incisive pass, and the England midfielder laid the ball off to Guimaraes, who rifled a shot into the roof of the net.

The strike arrived just 121 seconds after goalkeeper David Raya had denied Sunderland with a penalty save — a stop that separately earned Raya the Premier League's Save of the Month award.

Guimaraes took the fan-voted prize with 43% of the vote. Martin Odegaard's team goal against Chelsea finished second with 19%, while Max Dowman's solo effort against Ipswich Town came third with 15%.

The Brazilian joins Kyra Cooney-Cross on the season's Goal of the Month winners list. Cooney-Cross won the award in August for her thunderbolt against Charlton Athletic.
