Fans vote Liverpool's top 10 PL wins against Man City

Fans have voted Liverpool's top 10 Premier League wins against Manchester City ahead of Sunday's Anfield clash, with Andoni Iraola's side looking to extend their PL record against City to 24 victories.

The January 2018 encounter tops the list — a 4-3 win in which City arrived unbeaten and on course for a 100-point title triumph. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened, Leroy Sane levelled, before a nine-minute burst from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah put Liverpool 4-1 up. Late goals from Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan were not enough.

Second place went to the November 2019 fixture, a 3-1 victory under Jürgen Klopp in which Fabinho struck from distance, Salah headed in from Andy Robertson's cross and Mane made it three before the hour.

A third Klopp entry lands at No.3 — a 4-1 away win at the Etihad in November 2015. Liverpool were three up by the 32nd minute through an Eliaquim Mangala own goal and finishes from Philippe Coutinho and Firmino, with Martin Skrtel adding a late fourth.

The February 2025 win at City, in which Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai scored first-half goals in a 2-0 victory during Liverpool's run to the title, ranks fourth.

Liverpool's biggest ever Premier League win over City — a 6-0 rout in October 1995, three days after a 4-0 League Cup triumph over the same opponents — places sixth. City manager Alan Ball said after the match: "As daft as it may seem, I enjoyed the game. I enjoyed Liverpool. They're everything I believe in about how the game should be played. They totally outclassed us and got the start they wanted. From then on, I had to sit back and admire them."

The April 2014 title-race win (3-2), the October 2008 away comeback (3-2), the April 2011 home win (3-0), the March 2015 victory (2-1) and a September 2000 3-2 win featuring a Dietmar Hamann hat-trick contribution complete the top ten.
