Manchester City captain Rúben Dias has described Wednesday's Champions League home fixture against Paris Saint-Germain as a "massive game", ahead of the 20:00 (UK) kick-off at the Etihad Stadium.
"It's a massive game and everyone is excited for it," Dias said at his pre-match press conference. "It would be a great time to feel ourselves against one of, well, the best team in Europe. We're excited for the challenge. Everyone is. The fans can't wait to be there, just like us."
PSG arrive as two-time reigning European Champions, having won the title in both 2025 and 2026, beating Inter Milan and Arsenal respectively. The French side opened their latest campaign with a 6-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava.
City head into the match on the back of a 3-0 win at Liverpool on Sunday, with second-half goals from Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku and Rayan Cherki securing the points at Anfield. The result extended Enzo Maresca's side's winning run and kept them top of the Premier League.
Dias acknowledged the significance of the Anfield result. "It was great. Amazing support from our fans, they stood behind us and we will fight for them always until the end. It was obviously a special feeling to get that win in such a difficult atmosphere."
City have won eight of their eight matches across all competitions this season, including six wins from six in the Premier League. Wednesday's Champions League tie against PSG is their second group-stage fixture, following an opening away win at FC Porto.
