Aston Villa came from behind to defeat Sevilla 3-1 at Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Friday, claiming the Antonio Puerta Trophy in the competition's 15th edition.
All four goals arrived in the second half, with Sevilla's Isaac Romero opening the scoring after 52 minutes before Villa responded with three unanswered goals.
Ross Barkley levelled on 71 minutes, intercepting a pass and racing through to slam home. Alejandro Garnacho then put Villa ahead by tapping in a low cross from substitute Alysson.
Academy product Max Jenner sealed the victory with seven minutes remaining, beating a defender with a feint before slotting home to complete the 3-1 scoreline.
Villa manager Unai Emery was honoured in a pre-match presentation marking his return to Seville, where he won three consecutive UEFA Europa League titles. Emery made five changes at half-time, giving Pau Torres and Brian Madjo minutes after injury.
Tammy Abraham had been denied a goal on his 28th birthday in the first half, stopped by Sevilla goalkeeper Fran González. Emi Buendía also went close, curling a shot onto the top of the net.
Villa now turn their attention to the Premier League, hosting Brentford at Villa Park in eight days' time.
