Arsenal Women look to end their home winning drought in the Women's Super League when Manchester United visit Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening, with kick-off at 5.30pm.

The Gunners are searching for their first home league win of the season after a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend, while United arrive having lost both opening WSL matches.

Manchester United, now managed by Spanish coach Eva Olid who replaced Marc Skinner in the summer, conceded seven goals across their first two games — a 2-1 defeat to London City Lionesses and a 5-0 home loss to Chelsea. It is the first time United have lost their opening two league matches since their debut WSL campaign in 2019/20.

Arsenal head coach Renée Slegers said the focus after the Palace draw was on converting dominance into goals. "We've also been looking at how we can create even bigger opportunities for ourselves when the spaces are really tight and there's a lot of bodies in the box," she said.

Olid struck a measured tone ahead of her side's trip north London. "My main message is about being themselves. I think they're not showing in the first two matches who they are and what they can do," the United boss said.

Arsenal will be without goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar, Michelle Agyemang, Katie Reid and Elisa de Almeida. Slegers indicated Van Domselaar's return is targeted for October but cautioned the timeline remains uncertain. "October will be great, but let's see where it goes," she said.

United will make a late decision on Andrea Medina, who went off injured against Chelsea, while right-back Jayde Riviere and midfielder Emma Watson are also sidelined.

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 19 WSL games (W14 D5) and have gone 20 matches unbeaten at home under Slegers (W16 D4). A win or draw on Saturday would set the club's outright longest unbeaten run in the WSL. United's only WSL away win at Emirates Stadium came in November 2022, when Alessia Russo scored a stoppage-time winner in a 3-2 result.

The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.
